tomorrow waits, strains at the bars

thoughts dissipate in the gleam of the stars

I see the murder streak across the sky
and hope that maybe some day
one of them will catch me in a pearly eye

I've waited for so long, it seemed odds were against me
I'd wait a thousand years for them to come down and meet me
I'd be the perfect mate, caught up in a flight of fancy
for such crows are men at night, and they are called the Tling-Tsi
